We’ve been wanting to record an album for quite some time and haven’t really had the luck of free time and someone to do it for us. Just before we went to inner Mongolia we recorded Prophession by ourselves in the span of about four days. Needless to say, it was a four-day recording. Now that we’ve been able to sit still and settle down with Yoyo,  we’ve been able to spend the past few weeks recording in the studio, with one short trip to Fuling (near Chongqing) last week.

I wish I could express the feeling of what we’re going through more clearly, but the momentum and energy of this particular project has really directed my attention to so many new things that I’ve grown to again learn to appreciate the work and interests of those around me. In fact, just the day befre yesterday I was telling Anton and Douglas (two of our house-guests) how grateful I was to know them because I also realize how frail and accidental relationships between people can be…This community of people interested in art and making things together. This is truly the heart of culture, when people from their own personal desires rise to the level of discipline to contribute their ideas and passion to the community that is already developing itself… I do feel very lucky to have people to play music and work when otherwise I would be doing something else… It reminds me of a storm; so many small particles forming a gust that none of them could accomplish by themselves… that is the procession I see now…

"wake up time… you are wanted now… the priveledge of your slumber has brought us many gifts… and then perhaps after the sun rises again you too can get some rest…"

At this point we’re going through the nine song album drums first, guitar, bass, then vocals. The songs on the album will be made known after we’ve decided the final order of the songs. But I am excited to say that Bad Dying is one there at about 11 and a half minutes… It sounds really beautiful right now. These past few weeks have been at a pace that I like…
